Year end is a good time to take stock in the past year and look ahead to what’s possible in the year to come. I like to look at the ways that our customers use AllClear to gain insight into current and future needs that we can help them solve. This is how almost all of our product innovations occur – by studying customer needs and enhancing AllClear to meet them.

One of our 2021 success stories came about because a customer struggled to manage contractors during turnarounds. They had several sites with many turnarounds scheduled in one year and they began 2021 without a good plan to assure full accountability at their sites during the projects. They told us, “We have this spike in population during the projects so we need something temporary that we can drop in before the project and then ship it out when it’s done.” As we dug into it with the customer team, we discovered the dramatic savings captured through

  1. Automating sign in and sign out for the project to increase time on tools
  2. Strategic placement of temporary assembly points for faster accountability

So we went to work to design an easily portable, free standing device that extended AllClear’s reach into the remote project areas of the plant and offered them as rentals for the duration of the project. We delivered them before the project and picked them up at the end.

As a result, the site achieved a high state of readiness during the project and captured significant savings in time-on-tools. They built a standard for project operations around the use of AllClear for Turnarounds and the rest of their North American sites followed suit. The numbers were so compelling that one of the sites was able to use the turnaround ROI to fund the initial installation of AllClear.

Now the enterprise is able to plan for and execute full accountability during all of their turnaround and construction projects after starting 2022 at Square One. This is a great example of a year well spent with AllClear and I’m excited to see where this trajectory will take them.
